Chapter 11:Reaching a Multicultural and Diverse Audience

These are a few things I found to be very important in this chapter of Public Relations:Strategies and Tactics by Dennis Wilcox and Glen Cameron

1.) In conducting campaigns for the Hispanic audience, Spanish is often the preferred language even if the person has very good english-comprehension skills.
2.)When choosing a medium, you should keep these things in mind:
– Print media are the best for delivering a message that requires absorption of details
– Television has the strongest emotional impact
– Radio’s greatest advantage is flexibility
3.)This is a breakdown of media hours in America
-1,555 hours watching television
– 974 hours listening to the radio
-195 hours using the internet
-172 hours reading a newspaper
– 122 hours reading magazines
– 106 hours reading books
– 86 hours playing video games
